Remodeling a Kitchen in Southlake, Texas
This remodel started with wanting to open up the area between the living room and kitchen to bring in a large island. The issue was the wall that supported the entire upstairs was reliant on the wall separating the two areas. We had to appropriately support so we wouldn’t lose the integrity of the support for the upstairs. We then engineered a 32′ steel I-Beam to be placed in the area where the support wall was. This posed some interesting challenges to the AC ductwork systems. All was worked out and a happy returning customer. This is a good example of a good, challenging remodel.
